SourClient is an independent, fan-made launcher and Forge-based modification for Minecraft: Java Edition 1.8.9, developed by sourama. It is not made by, endorsed by, or connected to the companies that make Minecraft. You need your own legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition (a Microsoft account that owns the game) to use it.

SourClient does not distribute Minecraft itself. All Minecraft game files, libraries, and assets are downloaded by the launcher directly from Mojang's official servers (piston-meta.mojang.com, libraries.minecraft.net, resources.download.minecraft.net), exactly as the official launcher does.

This wording follows the Minecraft Usage Guidelines (https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/usage-guidelines), which require a prominent disclaimer of this form on the product, its listings, descriptions, website, and all related materials.
